About the event
Join the Roanoke Valley Chapter, NSDAR, for our October monthly meeting as we enjoy an engaging presentation by Chief Ren Herdman of the Central Appalachian Cherokee Tribe. Chief Herdman will share insights into the history, heritage, and culture of the Cherokee people, offering members a meaningful opportunity to learn more about the region's Native American history.
Following the program, members will participate in a blanket-tying service project, creating warm, handmade blankets for those in need in our community. This hands-on activity reflects the DAR's commitment to service while providing an opportunity for fellowship and teamwork.
